Dance Level descriptions

Important questions
Who does the teacher examinations?
All exams are done either by an examiner from the CDTA, (Canadian Dance Teachers Association), or the ISTD, (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance). All certificates are issued via the examining organization and will bear their seals.
Are exam fees included in the training costs?
No, exam fees are set by the various organizations and costs will vary depending on the amount of people taking exams. All fees are paid directly to the associations for testing.
Are course materials covered in the pricing?
No, course materials can be purchased separately or jointly between students. New books cost on average $40.00 each.
Am I a teacher as soon as I pass my first level?
YES!, Holding the first level of certification will put you in a class by yourself. As there are numerous dance teachers in Toronto who have no credentials and limited training holding your Associate Latin certification will elevate you into an elite group. Just know that your level of achievement will be recognized around the world! When you pass you will truly be a professional in those styles studied.
Notes
Please note that we place emphasis on proper technique and styling during all training exercises. We will not recommend a teacher for testing until all proper terminology, dance steps, and a high level of precision is obtained. We train our teachers to pass with honors!
